Another old poem from scattered pages torn from defunct composition books, in order to not lose words so carefully rendered.
A Story
By Aileen McPherson
Tell me a story of days long gone, of knights and ladies, and of chivalry before it died.
Tell me a story of days gone bye, the price of bread of milk, and pie, of sunny days and starry nights, of when you met, and kisses sweet and hugs so tight.
Tell me a story of sorrow and pain, of soldiers and wars that we hope won’t happen again, of people who dreamed with minds so vast, now only to be remembered as those who have past.
Tell me a story
