Emotional pain dragging me down,
Seasons changed memories engage,
Fear and rage turn into crying and shame
Guilted through time, yearning
My life should be mine, Feelings deep
Dare to speak, introspection brings
Reflection, loving self is difficult,
Are you worthy of love, what about
Compassion, am I worthy of life,
Living, how about forgiving, where is
The empathy for self, understanding lost
Picking up the pieces, a mirror
Shattered, broken, a mind keen
Working hard to undo the mean,
Striving to be all these things towards
Self, undoing the programming
Instilled by others, becoming
Greatest self possible through
Pain logic is gained, life can and
Will be changed.
