We all need to breathe, with a beautiful
Gaseous mixture surrounding our earth, our home, sustaining life.

So, why is it we have airheads, who think
It’s a waste of time and resources, to
Maintain and restore the quality of the atmosphere
When no such problem exists.

We, humanity caused this infraction upon our
Planet, the Industrial Age kicked it into
Full tilt, and we’ve proliferated the problem since.

Those of science viewed the shame, while they
Studied ways to reclaim, rebuild, and restore
Needed oxygen bodies demand.

Rebuking politicians forthright for little to no
Actions taken, with evidence critical, these
Knowledgeable beings made clear, just how

Irreparable this problem will be in just a few years,
While continued neglect will cause exponential irrevocable damage,
Now please remember we have only
One planet.

Some will say: Our politicians are first rate they’re
Fixing our world, making it great again. Really
At what cost, to what end, or merely lip service,
While saving face again.

When will the consumption lies end?
