Not many of my family and readers may know, yet currently Charles and I live in an rv on the roadside. No we do not like this. No we do not want to be here, yet this was better than the village we lived in that made it its business to pry into yours.
We have been attempting to save for a tow off the roadside to a private residence, while saving to renew our tags, paying tickets, and daily survival. We are no longer on food stamps because they penalize you for saving money by reducing the amount you receive. I am reaching out again, I am at a loss for what to do anymore. Between the stresses of the cold, the damp, the mushrooms and molds, making sure all 4 of us have food and warmth. Charles works 5-7 days a week and when your average day is $20 it makes it hard to save and I go to medical appointments weekly and work 2-3 days in between. I write poetry which gets published in the Street Roots newspaper, and we get a little extra those weeks but not always. I am in the appeals process again for SSI, I wouldn’t be if my psychiatrist had not pushed me, this month is draining me before it has started. We have our monthly bills paid, storage $76, rv insurance $25, and youtube red $10.
To my point, I need help to get my family off of the roadside and onto private property, I don’t trust the brakes, one of her front brakes is out due to a crack in the back plate. You should not move 17000 pounds of machine with only two brakes. I called for tow estimates and it will cost $175.00 an hour, and realize I should save for two hours $350 to be safe, and our tags will run $260 – $300.
We don’t have alot yet we are willing to pay what we can or work in trade for a place off of the roadside on private property while both of us can pass a federal background check.
Here is what our home looks like, she is a 1973 dodge commander motorhome 24 foot long 12 foot tall with the ac unit, and 8 feet wide.
