You Celebrate

Days dedicated to parents,

Overrated in my view, thanks

Given through kindness, love is

To be done daily, not gratuitously.

Yeah! I’m the best child, better

Than you they liked My gift best!

Ever heard that before or maybe

Just getting a gift was a chore.

Making sure to keep up with

The Jones’s cause the Smith’s

Are still poor, now work harder.

So, while you celebrate, I will

Be working in my garden, maybe

Lounging in our hammock, or

Better pull out the kiddie pool.

No matter what I do,I will

Be spending the day with

My Love, who is the best man

Better than any father figures

In my life.
