Know this

While searching my soul

Filled with secrets untold,

I find the self wondering

To speak out or not to write.

This is a daily question,

How many heartaches shared,

To many traumas in repair,

What do I say and do I

Want to care or share.

Know this truth, for it is mine,

Glean knowledge everywhere,

Especially from those, whose

Perspectives you don’t share.

I prefer a war of wit and words,

While others chose violence,

Pack mentality tactics

Intimidation, Coercion, Antagonization, and Brutalization.

I strive to walk the path of

the soft paw,

Hear the words, speak your truth, unleash your claws only in defense of self and others.

Violence, Must be a last resort.
