Good morning world, this is my newest centaur in a long line that I started creating in 2007, this will be the first in the new collection. Here are the beginning pictures and you can find videos on my Instagram and tiktok @aidesigns2074.
While painting pottery on Friday with Dana Lewis at Gavin make shelter and Maddy I was showing Maddy these pictures and Dana asked me if I still had one I said no these were created in 2007, and then asked me if I could get one ready for the show coming up in May, so I have two and a half weeks basically to finish, and here is the beginning.
The following collection is from 2007 starting with the Sagittarius made for my friend Tammy who worked at Michaels, then my favorite the shaman with her turquoise headband, the centurion, the lady, the mystic, the purple pain, and the snow princess.
And this is the base for my next creation, I don’t know which doll it is or which horse however they’re coming apart to become a beautiful blue skybound Appaloosa style unicorn, at least that’s what my brain is picturing currently.
New things on this project that I have never attempted before, on my last centaurs I really didn’t repaint the faces much not a full repaint this will be a first time, also I will be repainting the entire body of the horse as well, which I did not do the last time. I will also be making all of the fur and flocking out of a wool yarn, I am currently turning into yarn wig wefts that I will be gluing directly onto the scalp and then replugging the tail.
I will also be using Thibr something called thermogenic plastic also known as a worbla, I’ve seen it used by other artists and I’m stoked to be trying it out for this doll to make the transition between the body’s smoother, wish me luck on another first.
